In Home Catholic Marriage Prep is a Christ-centered ministry forming couples through intentional mentorship, radical hospitality, and lifelong communion in Christ.
Through a ministry of accompaniment, formed and faithful mentor couples open their homes and lives to journey with engaged couples as they prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage.
Marriage does not simply happen naturally. It is formed over time through learning, sacrifice, and grace. In a culture that often struggles to sustain lifelong commitment, the Church’s call to marriage as a sacrament requires more than information. It requires formation rooted in relationship, witness, and lived experience. This ministry exists because marriage preparation is most fruitful when it is lived, not simply taught.
Marriage preparation was never meant to be completed alone. It was meant to be lived together. We believe couples grow best in the context of relationship, where faith is not only discussed but witnessed in real life.
In this model, formed and faithful mentor couples open their homes and lives to accompany engaged couples. This is not classroom formation, but mentorship in the home where faith is lived, questions are welcomed, and real conversation unfolds over time.
In the ordinary rhythms of shared conversation, prayer, and honest witness, engaged couples are invited into a deeper understanding of love as a vocation rooted in Christ. Over time, trust grows, conversations deepen, and couples begin to see marriage not as an idea, but as a lived vocation. Through this consistent rhythm of encounter, they are drawn into greater honesty with one another and deeper openness to grace.

In this ministry, mentor couples accompany engaged couples as they begin to understand and live this reality through conversation, witness, and shared life.
This ministry is designed to serve parishes, dioceses, and local communities seeking a more relational and Christ-centered approach to marriage formation. We partner with church leaders and mentor couples to establish a model of accompaniment rooted in Catholic teaching, lived witness, and the hospitality of the home. Through intentional mentorship and trusted Catholic resources, this ministry helps parishes form couples not only for a wedding day, but for a lifetime of unity in Christ.
